Basement Finish/Remodel (Phoenixville, PA 2009)
This project was in a Toll Brothers home. The basement was completely unfinished when the design process began. The homeowner provided his own contractor to frame, drywall and paint. TKHW was commissioned to design, manufacture and install the wainscot, wine cellar door, handrail/balustrade, and the 8' x 10' wet bar. This is a "man cave" par excellence.
Kitchen ~ Lancaster, PA
Here is a very small kitchen with an open floor plan. Pay special attention to the way we maximized use of space and functionality. The finish on the cabinets is and opaque lacquer with a stain glaze to give it more of a warm, old-world feel; especially, since the windows on the south wall provide more than enough sunlight. The homeowners wanted a wine/vineyard motif to add to their French curve raised panel doors. The grapevine onlays and corbels add just the right touch. The tile work on the wall splashes and floor were done by Gene Beachy for Martin's Flooring in Fivepointville, PA. The lower counters are granite provided by Henry H. Ross & Sons, Inc. of Lititz, PA. The top on the peninsula is a 2' thick mahogany eat-at bar top. The project also included a small powder room with a custom mahogany vanity and mirror, as well as a mudroom with cabinets and a laminate counter top.
We apologize for the lighting in these photos. It was very difficult to capture this kitchen with proper lighting.
